Rocket 88 Studios is a long standing production company dedicated to making quality media, while paying real world wages in a professional manner. We will never ask you to work for free, nor will we ever try to send you money and ask you to pay vendors with it.
Lately there have been some opportunists using our name and logo, and corresponding with the email address rocket88studios@yahoo.com and could be using the names Rogier Willems or Tyler Moose (really?). These criminals are trying to scam hard working production people and they are neither representatives of this company, nor are they actually making any kind of media.
Please be aware of the telltale signs: unprofessional correspondence; an invitation to join Microsoft Teams; payment being sent via a photo of a check, and being asked to use the surplus of money from said check to pay for goods or services to other people.
Please make sure that when you work freelance for someone that you get some kind of agreement in writing as to what is expected of you and how much you will be compensated. It’s the way we do business with all of our freelancers, and it’s the assurance you should insist on before putting your time into a project.
